MEM is a project within the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) conducted by four European climate protection and energy agencies, focusing on transnational exchange of knowhow on successful approaches to implement systematic and long-term oriented municipal energy management in municipalities of different sizes across the EU.
Project Content
Energy management for municipal buildings contributes greatly to long-term energy savings and a sustainable facility management. During the project, energy management will be introduced to 60 model buildings and the relevant capacities in the associated administrative structures will be built.
Through the exemplary introduction in selected municipalities and buildings, the project aims at revealing the actual benefit of MEM and developing innovative ways to implement it systematically.
